Gretton Past and Present
"Seven Steeples"
The middle one of three cottages which now form "Seven Steeples"

The leaves at the top of the above photograph are on a walnut tree. The nuts were collected and sold at 15 or 20 for one penny. When the three cottages were sold the tree was sold separately for its wood for £150 and was found to be hollow.
The extension incorporated in the front of the present building (below) largely obscures the original cottage.
