Present:- Marshall Ferguson - chair, Ailsa Dempster, Matthew Moore, Terri Meechan, Tim Fox, Andy Royle, Phil Bromhall(BC), Stan Heggs(CC), Mark Thompson, Jake Villette(Junior Councillor), John Hindle - clerk and 2 Members of the Pocket Park Cttee.

Representatives of the Pocket Park Committee discussed the Tree condition report from Lockhart Garrett. The problems relating to low branches can be dealt with but the high work needs a specialist contractor. Parish Council to obtain tenders.
The Pocket Park Committee is still looking for volunteers to perform routine maintenance in the Park; Cubs and Scouts have been involved recently.
Chairman reminded Councillors to declare an interest where appropriate.
The Minutes of the Meeting on 11th August were accepted as a true record and duly signed.
Matters Arising for discussion at the next Meeting include Japanese Knotweed under the bridge in Station Road, Street Lighting and the Trees policy of Corby BC Planning Dept.
Report from Borough Councillors:-
Phil Bromhall and Terri Meechan drew attention to the grants application deadline at Corby BC where all bids to be received by end of September.
Terri will oversee the election of a new Junior Councillor to serve alongside Jake who is willing to continue. Jake was thanked for his contributions to meetings.
Waste Collection Officers will make spot checks on bins. Glass can now be included in brown bins.
The Waste Transfer Station planned for Brookfield Plantation will occupy a smaller area than originally expected.
Corby BC is to have an inspection and Parish Council to be contacted in respect of performance and interaction.
Interviews for the vacancy on Parish Council took place on 1st September. Four excellent candidates offered their services and Jeremy Sharman was appointed. Councillors were very pleased with the response and will keep the other parties in mind for future events.
Report from County Councillor:-
Stan Heggs will allocate £1500 to Gretton Village Hall from his Councillor's Fund. £500 is left for any future project.
Correspondence:-
Letters received from NALC/BT regarding the future of the Red Phone Kiosk; Park Lodge Farms on their plans for land to the east of Southfield Road and Rural Pride Officer on the next round of healthy walks planned.
Email from a resident regarding the kerb stones by Caistor Road and High Street.
Emails to Corby BC relating to planning matters discussed at the last Meeting.

Village Plan:-
A meeting is convened at the Sports Club between Parish Council, Silver Band, Cricket , Football and Youth clubs on 18th September to discuss plans for the Recreation Ground.
Planning:-
08/00347/DPA - New Garage and pitched roof on 4, Kirby Road.
No objections were raised on this scheme.

Additional streetlights required at junction of Maltings Road and Arnhill Road and triangle on High Street outside Talbot pub.
