The Minutes of the Meeting on 12th May were accepted as a true record and duly signed.
Matters Arising:-
It was reported that the walkways between Kirby Road and Fulwell Avenue were overgrown and the Recreation Ground requires better cuts on a regular basis. O'Connors to be informed.
Phil Beckett, PCSO informed councillors that a spate of vehicle crimes had occurred recently. He was arranging a leaflet drop to keep residents vigilant and also to inform of thefts of fuel from vehicles as prices rise.
There is a road safety concern regarding vehicles at the gate of the Speedway owned property on Corby Road near the junction with Gretton Brook Road.
Report from Borough Councillor: -
Phil Bromhall reported that housing development in Corby Borough was on hold affecting applications currently in the pipeline.
Phil and Terri Meechan have each been allocated £1000 for projects within their areas.
Report from County Councillor:-
Stan Heggs was requested to submit a report to May Gurney regarding the condition of roads within the village. Phil Bromhall and Mark Thompson to prepare.

Letters from:-
Savills - agents of Anglian Water regarding the Water Tower. We are informed that there are now no plans to decommission the tower so the site will not become available. The lease for the small area of Anglian Water land currently used as an extension to the Sports Club car park will be renegotiated in Autumn 2009. In the interim, Council will explore the provision of more litter bins on the car park to facilitate proper disposal of rubbish by villagers.

Village Plan:-
It was reported that the first Youth Club meeting had been well received and constituted a positive start.
Requirements for the Recreation Ground were discussed on 28th May by Tim Fox, Terri Meechan, Suzanne Preston and others. Total spend package is around £200,000 and Suzanne will enquire into possibilities of grant. Some match funding may be required and each sport will approach their appropriate association. A public meeting will be arranged when plans have reached discussion stage. Tim Fox will liaise with villagers with particular expertise.
Planning:-
08/00217/PE BT are planning to remove the public telephone kiosk from the village centre. Proposal to be resisted on grounds of emergency use.

Parking outside the Coffee Shop at times presents a hazard.
