Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting

held in the Village Hall on Monday 12th May 2008

Present:- Marshall Ferguson - chair, Ailsa Dempster, Tim Fox, Andy Royle, Stan Heggs (CC), Terri Meechan, Phil Bromhall (BC), Robyn Seymour- Junior Councillor, J. Hindle - clerk, Sgt. Julie Mead - Corby Police.

Apologies:- Matthew Moore, Paul Seaton, Mark Thompson.

Chairman reminded Councillors to declare an interest where appropriate.

The Minutes of the Meeting on 14th April were accepted as a true record and duly signed.

Matters Arising: -

Sgt. Julie Mead discussed road safety at Gretton School with Junior Councillor Robyn Seymour and agreed to co-ordinate some sessions with the PCSOs. The work of the PCSO team on tackling speeding in villages has produced encouraging results and they will address parking issues in the above sessions.

Relating to fly tipping, Corby BC have made cash available for a covert camera to be placed at a 'hot spot' in an attempt to gain evidence.

A regular Parish Council input to the new Village Monthly magazine was discussed and will be addressed to the organisers.

Lockhart Garrett have quoted £450 + VAT to survey trees in the Pocket Park and this was deemed acceptable.
