The Minutes of the Meeting on 14th April were accepted as a true record and duly signed.
Matters Arising: -
The Gang mower from Corby BC will be available shortly.
Sgt. Julie Mead discussed road safety at Gretton School with Junior Councillor Robyn Seymour and agreed to co-ordinate some sessions with the PCSOs. The work of the PCSO team on tackling speeding in villages has produced encouraging results and they will address parking issues in the above sessions.
Relating to fly tipping, Corby BC have made cash available for a covert camera to be placed at a 'hot spot' in an attempt to gain evidence.
Report from County Councillor:-
Stan Heggs reported that the 'tree policy' designed to maintain current stocks in Corby Borough has been accepted. However, areas designated for new works will undoubtedly result in some tree loss.
Cash has been requested from haulage firms etc. whose drivers create litter at truck stops and other areas in the County. This will be used for clean up purposes and at least one operator has come up with some funds. Stan has offered a grant up to £1000 towards Village Hall refurbishment and Ailsa will apply this to the cost of a water heating boiler.

A regular Parish Council input to the new Village Monthly magazine was discussed and will be addressed to the organisers.
Lockhart Garrett have quoted £450 + VAT to survey trees in the Pocket Park and this was deemed acceptable.
Village Plan:-
The Youth Club is to start soon with helpers from the village with Suzanne Preston and PCSO involvement where appropriate.
There will be a meeting on 28th May including Tim Fox, Terri Meechan and Suzanne Preston to assess requirements for the Recreation Ground. Cash is being sought from various sources.
Planning:-
08/00177/DPA To develop existing barn attached to 3, Corby Road to a dwelling and make new access for the main house.
Concerns mainly centred on the access to Corby Road given the difficulties currently experienced by traffic on this stretch of road and the addition of another property.
08/00166/DPA Renewing flat roof with pitched roof and erect garage to rear of house at 4, Kirby Road.
08/00176/DPA Conversion of existing barn and new extension and improvements to existing outbuildings at 2, Caistor Road.
08/00180/DPA Detached garage at 7, Arnhill Road.

Any Other Business:-
The area under the bridge at the bottom of Station Road is in poor condition. Andy Royle will supply the address of the landowners so that some representations can be made.
Corby BC to be informed of Street Lighting requirements in the village.
Footpaths between Kirby Road and Fulwell Avenue to be cleared.
Village Hall Committee have produced a questionnaire for regular users on their refurbishment plans.
Lydia's Coffee Shop have requested occasional use of the Village Green for customers using tables and chairs. Clerk to check on insurance requirements.
The local Scout group have offered to clear Church Gap of rubbish and raise the condition of the pond and surrounds. Clerk to liaise.
