3 Declaration of Councillors' Interests.
Chairman reminded Councillors that they should declare an interest where this was involved
4 Minutes of meeting 14 February 2005 were confirmed as a true record and signed by the chairman.
5 Report from Borough Councillor - nothing to report.
6 Report from County Councillor
In his absence the clerk read out his report where he informed the council the County Council precept increase was 2.8% and the "Street Doctor" scheme was launched to cover highway defects.
7 Matters Arising from Minutes
The Sports & Social Club lease has now been received from Lamb & Holmes.
8 Correspondence
A Letter from DEFRA re Broadband in rural communities - a CD-Rom is available.
B Copy of letter Village Hall sent to CBC re waste collection.
C Standards Board for England - copies of the review available and responses wanted by 17 June - circulation file.
D Corby Area Committee update of distribution list - agreed we do not want to continue to receive agenda and papers.
E Corby Housing Strategy meeting 15 March - only two paragraphs concerning villages - no one available to go to meeting - to be put in circulation file.
F Letter from Councillor Rutt about hedge cutting rules.
G Reply from CBC about new method of charging for waste collection from Village Hall & Churches.
H Rockingham Forest Trust Community Planning Network - can ask questions about planning via E-mail and receive reply by same.

A Rep's review January - circulation file.

C Agreed the new phone no. and the E-mail address for repairs is put in the newsletter, which is due out in the near future.
10 Planning Matters
A Corus development Finch Hatton Drive to Corby Road - this application was for outline planning permission with no number of houses stated. Agreed that we write along the same lines as the first application in June 2004.
B Harborough Hill House - double garage - no observations.
C Harborough Hill House - new chimney stack and window replacement - no observations.
D 1B Harringworth Rd - extension to rear, canopy to entrance and alterations to window - permission granted subject to certain conditions.

12 Police Matters
Force Communications Centre now set up to work with agencies such as Neighbourhood Watch, Residents' Associations, County District and Parish Councils. As we have a new constable clerk asked to make contact with him to arrange a visit to next meeting.
13 Village Plan
There is a meeting on Wednesday 16 March to discuss the Action Plan. Agreed to move this item to earlier on the Agenda for next meeting so a more in depth discussion can take place.
14 G R E A T steering group report
The group is now meeting monthly and is monitoring developments.
15 Any Other Business
Marshall Ferguson reported that the light in Clay Lane is still out.
He also asked if we had heard anything from the Police about the arrest of five people driving cars on the playing field - clerk had not had any correspondence.
Terri Meechan reported that Paige Rowley, Gretton Queen, had gone on to become Corby Carnival Queen.
She also asked the council if the Cricket Club could put in new worktops in the pavilion and generally tidy up - this was agreed.
She also informed the council of a course for Junior Councillors - she would obtain more information.
Ailsa Dempster had obtained quotes for furniture for the Village Hall, which would use part of the special allocation of £3000 for Gretton and Rockingham.
